James Golden's Federal Twist Garden - USA, Late summer { 19 images } Created 9 Jun 2016

The Federal twist garden is planted in a naturalistic style, a modified wet prairie sowed with thousands of native plants. When James Golden started landscaping here he cleared 80 scrub cedars to bring in light and a good part of the garden now grows over his septic field. The plants he prizes bear the oversize, fantasy foliage “I don’t care that much about flowering,” he said. “I’m much more into dead plants and seed pods”.
